In 1892 The American Velvet Mill opened in Stonington, CT, transforming a quaint village into a manufacturing powerhouse - bringing industry, jobs, and wealth to the community. Since retired from its original purpose, this same building is now home to our brewery and many other hard-working local proprietors.
