An eclectic blend of 77% Carignan, 15% Valdiguié, and 8% Syrah. The Love Red grapes are harvested early to highlight the fruit and preserve the acidity. The Carignan is a combination of whole cluster and destemmed fruit from four 70 year-old dry farmed vineyards. The Valdiguié and Syrah were whole cluster. The wine was aged in a combination of neutral French oak barrels and concrete tanks. The result is an extremely pretty and approachable red that has a fruity, floral nose going into a fresh, light palate with a subtly spicy finish.
