Some of us think that Coonawarra is a satellite appellation of Bordeaux, such is the way Coonawarra cabernet can muster Bordelais elegance and tannin and quiet power. Our 2018 Old Testament does this, but with another deft tier of ripeness and richness. This is a generous and giving cabernet, but it in no way has jettisoned any of the tannic structure and formality that proper cabernet is renowned for. Ripe, dark berry fruits and subtle oak.
