Wyatt Cabernet Sauvignon

For the 2016 Wyatt Cabernet, we decided to up the ante on the blend and incorporate 5% of [very expensive] Napa Cab along with 20% of a super, over-delivering, oak aged Cabernet from the Red Hills AVA in Lake County. The final blend was approximately 83%, Cabernet Sauvignon, 15% Petit Sirah, 1% Merlot and 1% Cabernet Franc. The wine was aged in a combo of tank and oak, with about 5% new wood. The palate is rich and deep, with plush cassis and berry fruit all framed by touches of oak for complexity. It is most definitely a wine that swings WAY above its selling price!
