A light and luminous straw yellow, as always, the aromas are very refined, and will unfold over time, with notes of fern, aniseed, and cardamom, against a cedar background. The palate is slightly fuller than usual, while maintaining the energy and dynamism that are a hallmark of this wine. The finish, fresh and very long, alternates between notes of cedar, cardamom, and a hint of green pepper, reminiscent of the great Wachau Grüner Veltliners. As it ages in the bottle, it will acquire a mineral character of hydrocarbons (diesel), candied ginger, and chestnut honey, without ever losing the proverbial dynamism that has made it the cult wine par excellence of the entire appellation.
