Azelia Barolo 'Bricco Fiasco' (1999)

The Bricco Fiasco vineyard was one of the first Barolos to identify a single vineyard Cru and represents the historical Cru of Azelia planted in the 1940's. Pale garnet-brick colour with alluringly fragrant aromas of dried roses and violets, moss, black truffles and cassis with a core of warm raspberry. The crisp acidity and a medium level of chewy tannins have plenty of mouthfilling berry and spice flavors on the palate. The long, layered finish goes on for minutes and with time in the glass, the red fruits start to pop
