The Chateau de Panigon 2016 is one of the best values in Left-Bank Bordeaux. A blend of 50% Merlot with 45% Cabernet Sauvignon and 5% Petit Verdot from 40+ year old vines, Chateau de Panigon was awarded official Cru Bourgeois status in 2008, a special designation which recognizes top Chateau's outside of the grand cru classe. A simply great nose of mint, dark fruit and truffles is backed up by a multi-faceted palate showing floral and meaty tinges to the rounded, sleek cherries and raspberries on chalky tannins.
