These Carignan vines, more than a century old, are planted in the poorest and stoniest soils of the entire holding. Because of the types of soil and the age of the vines, the yields are very low. The nose is very characteristic of the south, with cocoa and spices, aromatic herbs, and leather. It is warm and well-rounded on the palate, with tannins that are surprisingly rich for this grape variety.
