The 2016 County Line North Coast Chardonnay is up to the challenge of cutting through the midday heat of a sultry summer afternoon. Tart golden delicious apple flesh, fresh Asian pear, and preserved lemon serve as the strong acid backbone, and this acidity is delicately balanced by a richness and roundness of freshly cut cantaloupe, sweet baking spcies, and a hint of salted caramel. Furthermore an apple blossom floral lift is perceived. Interestingly, once quaffed a hint of nettle tea can also appear as the wine lingers on the palate.
