Back from the fiery depths! Our 2019 Tears of Vulcan continues our tradition of bright, floral, citrusy, textural, skin contact orange wine. Made of 57% Viognier, 23% Pinot gris and 20% Muscat from two organic vineyards in the Chehalem Mtns AVA of the Willamette Valley. The fruit was on its skins for all of primary fermentation; 23 days. Then it was pressed and went through elevage in neutral French oak with one new Acacia barrel in the mix (approximately 6% new Acacia barrel). The barrels were blended in stainless steel and bottled, unfiltered, on April 27th.
