This ruby colored Gamey from the Brouilly commune opens with a fragrant teaberry and maraschino cherry bouquet with a hint of cinnamon. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied with notes of medium plus acidity. The mouthfeel is balanced, round and bright. The flavor profile is a teaberry and red plum blend with notes of saline, cedar, and maraschino cherry. I also detected hints of light loam. The finish is rather dry, and its flavors and mild tannins linger nicely. I would pair this Brouilly with a juicy bacon burger.
