A newer producer for Barolo and a friend of extraordinary Roberto Voerzio this wine had loads of blackberry and vanilla character with hints of caramel in its youth and those aromas have evolved into a dark, rich melange of brambly fruit, lavender and roasted nuts. Full-bodied, with velvety tannins and a long, exotic fruit aftertaste, it was deemed a 'Wild thing,' at release and has kept that meaty, savory tone and firm tannins.
